Exploring Tenerife: walking over the Teno ridges

This trip covers the highlands of Teno until it reaches the sea at a natural beauty spot. The highland of Teno is an area of great natural wealth which harbours many native plant species.

The starting point should be at Teno Alto, accessible by road from El Palmar which is halfway between Masca and Buenavista. From there the road should be followed on foot for a hundred meters as far as the end of the tarmac.
