Parador de La Gomera

The “Conde de La Gomera” Parador is located on a sea-cliff known as the “Lomo de la Horca” (Gallows Ridge) in the capital of the island, 60 metres above the sea Its typical, sub-tropical gardens afford panoramic views of the Town and Port as well as the neighbouring Island of Tenenfe.

The building was designed in the purest aristocratic Canary style in 1969 by the architect Palazuelo and later in 1982 and 1996, it was refurbished and enlarged to become what it is today.

Here we find marine references in memory of the ships and voyage which Columbus undertook, leaving the shores of La Gomera for the Americas; the rooms feature Castilian and Elizabethan style furniture endowed with a unique Canary flavour, which is both elegant and distinguished; we discover interior patios and open spaces; 52 comfortable double rooms, plus four single rooms and two suites, together with other features such as drawing-rooms, a swimming-pool and our island cuisine which boasts dishes such as fish casserole, stuffed rabbit ribs and watercress soup as well as typical dishes taken from Spanish and international cuisine. All this is served in the peaceful atmosphere typical of the Island of La Gomera, where guests are offered an enjoyable and unforgettable stay.
